By the end of the 1950s, the 'fins and chrome' era of American cars was at its peak as into the following decade those styling cues would be dramatically downscaled. This 1958 Buick Century sedan would have sat just below Cadillac and above Oldsmobile in the General Motors hierarchy. Sixty-two years on it comes to auction with very good bodywork and good glass and trim: the patinated original blue paint is vendor-described as average. The interior is said to be very good throughout and largely original. Engine starting and running is ranked as good and presentation as average and the running gear is said to be good throughout, as are the electrics. There are some bills for parts and for work carried out.
